The Challenge

Advancement of the village is rapid, despite being wrapped in remoteness, communication gap , lack of hygiene and health care. However, introduction of newly developed universities and tower communication favors the growth of socio economic status of the village. Increase in population, remoteness of the site, limited supply of electricity - issues have stood up to become the referral points for addressing and shaping the design.

The Solution

A simple yet functional design using Grid-Module system is utilised for quick and fast construction. The space in between the two blocks becomes the open interactive space for the users to communicate, perform cultural and Panchayat meetings. Use of various amenities such as citronella grass, bio toilets, solar panels, waste management treatment, rainwater harvesting system and sustainable materials such as brick, wood, bamboo, prefabricated concrete slabs.

Expected Impact

The Community Centre impacts in a variety of innovative ways: WELFARE, REVENUE, CULTURE, KNOWLEDGE, RECREATION
