The Challenge

Designing the development while taking care of the local culture and traditions and mitigating the problems for the future generation. The site selected is an agricultural land located near a temple. The reason for this is that people can easily attach to God through the temple. by adapting the sustainable technology to improve the agriculture and quality of life.

The Solution

We have given respect to emotion, culture, and tradition of the locals and designed so that every unit gets a proper view of the temple. We have also used elements such as arches, jaalis, low sill levels, windows, ventilators, sunshade device, taakh, etc and also a Swastika with each unit. We also incorporated Harrappan architectural elements for restoring the legacy and maintaining the village identity. The chaupal is located at the village centre while the whole cluster faces the temple while providing private courtyard with every unit for social activities. The village has good potential to generated biogas from cattle residue.

Expected Impact

This development will stop distressed migration by providing better job opportunities through market and tourism. Rather than giving compact houses to the peoples, our house design is spacious to meet the needs of the people.
